About our Dental Crowns
At our clinic, we pride ourselves on providing high quality services for patients who are suffering from a damaged or decaying tooth. Many people think of dentures or implants when they consider tooth replacement, but not everyone is in need of those solutions. That’s where our dental crowns come in they help stop further damage, protect your tooth, and save it from losing it altogether. Drawing from years of experience, I’ve seen firsthand how this form of restoration can change lives, especially when people are searching for affordable options that don’t compromise on care. Whether you’ve had implants or dentures before, or this is your first time exploring your options, our custom fit crowns are made to feel natural, strong, and supportive a perfect blend of function and confidence.
Do I need a dental crown?
When it comes to protecting your smile with affordable solutions, only a licensed dentist can truly determine if a crown is necessary for your particular situation. From my experience, many patients think they only need dentures or implants, but that’s not always the case. Sometimes, a crown is the most practical option—especially when you’re trying to avoid more invasive procedures. If you’re unsure about your current dental condition, our team at Affordable Dentures & Implants can guide you through what’s best for your oral health.
- Reinforce a tooth that has already fractured
- Mask teeth that appear oddly shaped or badly stained
- Fix and protect a tooth with serious breakage
- Protect teeth that are severely worn down
If you’re a good candidate for a crown, your dentist will begin by taking an impression of your tooth and will prepare it for a crown. A temporary crown is then created and worn while your permanent crown is being made in a dentallaboratory. This process usually takes about two to threeweeks. At your secondvisit, the dentist will remove the temporary crown, check the fit and color of the new one, and cement it carefully into place. In my experience, patients are often surprised by how natural and comfortable the final result feels once it’s all complete.
Same-Day Crowns
At select Affordable Dentures & Implants locations, you can get custom crowns in just one day thanks to our on-site lab. This is a game-changer for patients who don’t want to wait weeks for their new crown. Our practices use advanced CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Manufacturing) technology, which combines a camera, computer, and milling machine in a single instrument. The digital imaging system captures a precise picture of your damaged tooth, completely eliminates the need for uncomfortable alginate impressions, and replaces them with a smooth optical impression.
This impression is then transferred and displayed on a full color screen, where your dentist uses 3D tools to design your new crown. As you wait, the CAM system creates the final piece right there in the clinic. The crown is then carefully bonded to the surface of your old tooth — and you’re ready to go. The entire process usually takes about an hour, making it one of the fastest restorative options available.
